St Heliers Hotels

Wonderful & Exotic Saint Heliers Hotels, Auckland

Saint Heliers is a quaint seaside suburb of Auckland with a modest population of about 5000 people. This area is popular amongst visitors for the beaches, cafés, and views of Rangitoto Island, the distinctive volcanic island in the Hauraki Gulf.

St. Heliers is located at the eastern end of Tamaki Drive, and used to be the place where the Tamaki estuary formally divided Auckland from Manukau City, until the entire Auckland region was amalgated under a single city authority, the Auckland Council, in 2010. Local government of St. Heliers is the responsibility of the Orakei Local Board, which also covers the suburbs of Orākei, Kohimarama, Mission Bay, Glendowie, St Johns, Meadowbank, Remuera and Ellerslie.

New Zealand is on my bucket list, so was very interested to read this. Fab choice of different types of accommodation. I think Pippa’s and The Consulate appeal to me the most! Either would work!

oh I do love some options and I just read a great post on where to eat in Auckland so I am good to go just have to get my plane tickets. I have been to Wellington and a few other places in NZ and absolutely adored the country I didn’t get to spend much time in Auckland though so looking forward to my next trip with your reommendations in mind

There are some great properties here to stay in with a little something for everyone. I like the thought of Mission Bay guest house especially as a family there is cooking facilities. Living in Australia we must get over to New Zealand soon

  • Marvi October 8, 2017 at 9:50 am

Great choices of hotels in New Zealand. I particularly like the Pippi’s Bed & Breakfast. It looks cozy and very welcoming. Such a change from the usual hotels my husband and I usually book during our travels.

  • Sandy N Vyjay October 9, 2017 at 3:40 am

A nice compilation of some really enchanting properties. I love the fact that most of these properties are located near Auckland city or the Airport. Location plays an important part when zeroing in on a hotel.

  • Jessica C October 17, 2017 at 7:21 pm

I like the consulate b&b. If it’s good enough for someone like that, then it’s good enough for me 🙂 But I do like the variety you found! Because I really like the Langham one too! I’ve never even been to Australia but really hope to go sometime. Aukland will definitely be on the list.

  • Svetoslav Dimitrov October 18, 2017 at 7:45 am

What a pretty collection of gorgeous spots you have compiled! I fell in love with the majestic waterfront of Hilton and the mesmerising view from the Mission Bay Guest House! Auckland, be ready for me 🙂

  • Laura October 18, 2017 at 10:17 am

Ah! I used to live in Auckland and this post made me really happy even though it’s just hotels! I lived down the road from the Pullman – such a good spot close to the CBD! These are all awesome choices!

  • Chantell Collins October 18, 2017 at 12:50 pm

I’ve only been to Auckland once and stayed in a budget hotel in the center but these all look like much nicer options. I also didn’t realize that Saint Heliers and the beach were so close to Auckland!

  • Candy October 18, 2017 at 7:50 pm

That Pippi’s Bed & Breakfast is so adorable! I love charming accommodations like this and it’s a winner since it’s so close to the beach. I’ve never stayed at a B&B overseas, but I would definitely want to book my stay here 🙂

  • Natasha October 18, 2017 at 11:00 pm

I only had the chance to spend a couple days in Auckland, but If I ever go back, I now know where to stay. Pippi’s Bed and Breakfast sounds so cozy and relaxing. I love staying at more unique places like that!

  • Sandy N Vyjay October 19, 2017 at 2:35 am

Another wonderful listing of some amazing hotels. I can see that you have listed a range of hotels which is helpful for people with different budgets, and all of them look like they provide value for money. My personal pick of the lot is Grand Mercure.
